Terms of use
These are the terms for using Tidy Puzzles (tidypuzzles.com). They are short because the site is simple: you play free puzzles in your browser, we run no accounts and take no payments, and we try to be clear about what we promise. Using the site means you accept them. Last updated 2026-09-27.
Free personal use
Tidy Puzzles is free to use for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may play the games, print the printable sheets for yourself, your family or your class, and share puzzle codes and results as you like. There is no fee and no subscription; the site is funded by advertising.
No warranty
The site is provided as it is, without any warranty. We work hard to make every puzzle fair and the site reliable, but we cannot promise that it is free of errors, that a particular deal is winnable unless it is labelled so, or that your saved games and statistics will never be lost. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site, including lost stats or streaks.
Availability and changes to the site
We may change, add or remove games and features, and the site may occasionally be unavailable. Because the site caches itself for offline use, your browser may show an older version until it reconnects and refreshes. We are not obliged to keep any game or page available.
Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to interfere with the site, its hosting or its advertising and consent mechanisms.
- Do not scrape or fetch pages at a rate that would burden the service.
- Do not frame or copy the site in a way that suggests it is yours or that we endorse something we do not.
- Do not redistribute the site code or artwork as your own.
Your data
Game state, settings and statistics are stored in your browser and are under your control. We do not hold copies and cannot restore them. The privacy policy describes what the site stores and which third parties are involved.
Intellectual property
The site code, the puzzle generators and solvers, the written copy and all artwork, including the card faces, icons and symbols, belong to Tidy Puzzles unless they come from an open-source library, in which case that library remains under its own licence (the credits are on the About page). The puzzle types themselves, such as Sudoku, Klondike or nonograms, are generic games that nobody owns.
Printable sheets you generate may be printed and shared freely for personal, family and classroom use. They may not be sold or included in a product that is sold.
Third-party trademarks
Game names are generic terms; all trademarks belong to their respective owners. Tidy Puzzles is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
Advertising
Ads on the site are served by Google. We do not choose individual ads and are not responsible for their content or for the sites they link to. If an ad is inappropriate, report it with the controls on the ad itself, and let us know through the contact page so we can block the category. Where the law requires consent for advertising cookies, we ask for it before setting any.
Links to other sites
Where the site links to other websites, we are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the current version, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable at the operator's place of business, and any dispute will be dealt with by the courts there. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have as a consumer under the law of the place where you live.
