Printable puzzles as PDF sheets, made in your browser

Printable puzzles, made as a PDF in your browser: Sudoku sheets at five difficulties, 4×4 and 6×6 grids for children, and word searches on twenty themes with a word bank. Pick how many puzzles, how many per page, A4 or Letter, and whether to add solutions, then print. Nothing is uploaded and there is nothing to sign up for.

Printable Sudoku by difficulty

Each Sudoku sheet is built from the same generator as the online game, so every puzzle has exactly one solution and its difficulty means what it says. Easy grids (36 to 45 clues) need only singles; Medium (30 to 35) adds hidden singles and pointing pairs; Hard (26 to 30) adds pairs, triples and box-line reductions; Expert (24 to 27) adds X-wing, Y-wing and swordfish; Evil (22 to 25) needs chains or trial and error.

Choose a difficulty and a count from 1 to 12, a layout of 1, 2, 4 or 6 puzzles per page, and a font size. Solutions, if you tick the box, are printed on separate pages after the puzzles so they are easy to keep apart. Every page carries a title and every puzzle a number.

Sudoku sheets for children

The kids sheets use 4×4 and 6×6 grids with large cells. They follow the same one-solution rule, and the smaller grids mean a child can learn the row, column and box logic without the scanning load of a full 9×9. These pages are treated as child-directed, which also means no interstitial or rewarded ads appear there.

Printable word search

Pick one of twenty themes, from animals and food to space, weather and jobs. The sheet prints the letter grid with the word bank below it, plus an optional solution page showing where every word sits. Words run in eight directions and can overlap; the kids variant uses fewer, shorter words in four directions only. The word lists are common, family-friendly nouns written for this site.

How the PDF is made

The PDF is assembled on your device with pdf-lib, an open-source library, and saved or sent to your printer from the browser. Nothing leaves your computer: no upload, no server, no account. Because the generator runs locally, a sheet is usually ready in a second or two; Evil Sudoku can take a little longer.

Both A4 and US Letter are supported, with margins that keep the grid clear of the unprintable edge. The library loads only on the printable pages, so the rest of the site stays light, and once a printable page has loaded it works offline as well.

Tips for printing

Frequently asked questions

Are the printable puzzles free?

Yes. Every sheet is free to print for personal, family and classroom use. Please do not sell them.

Do the printable Sudokus have a single solution?

Yes. They come from the same generator as the online game, which removes clues only while the solution stays unique.

Which paper sizes are supported?

A4 and US Letter. Pick the size before you generate the sheet and the layout adjusts to it.

Do the puzzles repeat?

Each sheet is generated from a fresh random seed, so two sheets at the same difficulty will differ. The number of possible puzzles is far larger than anyone will print.

Can I print the same sheet again?

Save the PDF the first time. Generating again gives a new set of puzzles.

Why is nothing uploaded?

The PDF is built in your browser by pdf-lib. There is no server involved, which is also why it works offline once the page has loaded once.
