Spider Solitaire two suit: spades and hearts
Spider solitaire two suit mixes 52 spades and 52 hearts, so you can still place any card on the next rank up, but only single-suit runs move together. It is the most popular balance of luck and planning. No app, no sign-up and no interstitial before play; it works offline and from the keyboard, with unlimited undo.
How to play two-suit Spider
- The deal is the same: 54 cards in ten columns, 50 in the stock for five deals.
- Four sets are spades and four are hearts.
- Any card may go on a card one rank higher, spade or heart.
- Only a run in one suit moves as a unit; a mixed run must be taken apart.
- Completed king-to-ace runs of one suit clear themselves. Clear eight to win.
Two-suit strategy
Two suits is where Spider becomes a planning game. The key skill is knowing when a mixed build is worth it.
Prefer in-suit builds
If a heart 7 can go on either a heart 8 or a spade 8, choose the heart. If only the spade is available, make the move when it uncovers a card or empties a column, and otherwise wait.
Use empty columns to sort
An empty column lets you take a mixed run apart and put it back in suit. Use it for that, not as a permanent home for a single card. Remember you must fill every column before dealing.
Keep one suit moving
It is often easier to aim for a complete spade run first, then hearts, than to build both at once. A finished run frees space and returns 100 points.
Back out of bad deals
After a deal, look at what landed where. If it buried the run you needed, undo and rearrange first. The hint looks only one move ahead, so treat it as a suggestion, not a plan.
Before the last deal especially, try to have at least one long same-suit run ready to finish. The final ten cards often supply the last few ranks you were waiting for, and a completed suit then clears straight away.
Spider solitaire two suit stats
Two-suit games keep their own stats: played, won, win rate, best and average time, and best score. The timer starts on your first move. The first two hints in each game are free; when ads are switched on later, further hints offer a short ad or a 30-second wait. Each deal has a puzzle code you can share.
Plays anywhere, no app, no account
Red hearts and black spades stay easy to tell apart even with the small cards that let ten columns fit a phone, and every move works from the keyboard. Tidy Puzzles runs entirely in your browser: there is no app to install, no account to create and no interstitial before you can play. After the first visit the game also works offline, because each puzzle is generated on your device from a seed. Every board can be played with the keyboard alone, on a phone or a desktop, and your stats and unfinished puzzles stay in this browser rather than on a server.
