Daily Minesweeper: today's Expert board
Daily Minesweeper gives everyone the same Expert board each day: 30 by 16 cells, 99 mines, a new board at midnight UTC. Solve it to keep your streak going and share your time. No app, no sign-up and nothing to click through first; the daily is generated on your device, so it works offline and plays from the keyboard.
How to play the daily Minesweeper
- Open any cell to start. The first cell and its neighbours are always mine-free.
- Use the numbers to prove where the 99 mines are, and flag them.
- Chord satisfied numbers to open their other neighbours quickly.
- Clear all 381 safe cells to solve today's board and extend your streak.
- Copy the share text from the win panel if you want to compare times.
Daily Minesweeper tips
The daily is a standard Expert board, so all the Expert technique applies: read 1-2-1 and 1-2-2-1 along straight edges, compare overlapping numbers, flag only what you have proven and chord to move quickly.
A few things are specific to the daily. The board is built from the date and from the cell you click first, so two players who open the same first cell get the same layout, while a different first cell gives a different one. If you want to compare times fairly with a friend, agree on a first cell; the middle of the board is a common choice.
The daily uses plain random layouts by default, which means a board can end in a real 50/50. Undo is available on the daily and a win after undo still counts for your streak, so a forced guess does not have to end the day. If you would rather have a logic-only board, set No-guess boards to All levels before your first click; the note under the board says whether a guess-free layout was found.
Go steadily. The streak rewards finishing, not speed, so check each flag before you chord. When nothing can be proven, the hint either names a rule you missed or marks a safe cell next to the open area and says it is using knowledge you do not have.
Daily, stats and printables
The daily Expert board is the same for everyone and changes at midnight UTC. Your streak grows each day you solve it; the daily archive on the Daily puzzles page covers the last 30 days.
The timer starts on your first move and pauses when you switch tabs. Stats per board size stay in this browser: played, won, win rate, best and average time, and your daily streak.
Undo and Redo cover the whole game, even the first click. The first two hints on a puzzle are free; if ads are switched on later, more hints offer a short ad or a 30-second wait. Wins come with share text, and every random board has a code such as A7K3Q that replays it.
Plays anywhere, no app, no account
The daily Minesweeper board scrolls and pinch-zooms inside its frame on a phone, with a Zoom toggle for larger cells. Tidy Puzzles runs entirely in your browser: there is no app to install, no account to create and no interstitial before you can play. After the first visit the game also works offline, because each puzzle is generated on your device from a seed. Every board can be played with the keyboard alone, on a phone or a desktop, and your stats and unfinished puzzles stay in this browser rather than on a server.
