2048 6×6: a long, relaxed game
2048 6×6 more than doubles the space of the classic board, with 36 cells for the same 2048 target. Losing becomes rare, so the game turns into a steady, relaxed build that you can pick up and put down. Free, with no app, no sign-up and no interstitial before play; it works offline and can be played from the keyboard alone.
How to play 2048 on the 6×6 board
- Slide every tile with a swipe, an arrow key or W, A, S, D.
- Equal tiles that touch merge into their sum, once per tile per move.
- A new 2 or 4 appears after each move, in one of the 36 cells.
- Make a 2048 tile to win, then press Keep playing if you want to go further.
- The game ends only when all 36 cells are full and no merge is possible.
2048 6×6 strategy: staying tidy on a big board
On 36 cells, the danger is not running out of space but losing track of it. Small tiles drift into far corners, chains break into several groups, and merges that should take ten moves take fifty.
Still keep one home corner
Pick a corner for your largest tile and keep it there. With six cells per row, a single falling chain along the edge can hold everything up to 2048 with room to spare: 1024, 512, 256, 128, 64, 32.
Work in zones
Think of the two rows nearest your corner as the build zone and the rest as the feeding area. Merge small tiles in the feeding area into 16s and 32s, then bring them down to join the chain. Avoid building a second large tile far from the first: two 256s at opposite ends of the board can take a long time to meet.
Speed up with repeated moves
While the board is mostly empty, alternating your two main directions quickly is safe. Slow down once about half the cells are full.
Use undo sparingly
Undo is one step. On a big board, most mistakes can be repaired over the next few moves, so save undo for the rare slide that drags your big tile out of its corner.
Daily, stats and printables
The timer starts on your first move and pauses when you switch tabs. Stats are kept per board in your browser: played, won, win rate, best and average time, and best score, saved when a game ends in a win or a loss.
Undo takes back one move. There are no hints, since 2048 has no single right move. Each game has a puzzle code such as A7K3Q; open it with ?p= to replay the same start and the same new tiles. The end panel copies a short result to share. There is no daily 2048 and no printable version.
Plays anywhere, no app, no account
The 6×6 board scales to the width of your screen, so it plays on a phone with swipes and on a laptop with the arrow keys or W, A, S, D. Tidy Puzzles runs entirely in your browser: there is no app to install, no account to create and no interstitial before you can play. After the first visit the game also works offline, because each puzzle is generated on your device from a seed. Every board can be played with the keyboard alone, on a phone or a desktop, and your stats and unfinished puzzles stay in this browser rather than on a server.
