How to play the 8192 game
- Slide every tile on the 4×4 board with a swipe, an arrow key or W, A, S, D.
- Equal tiles that touch merge into their sum, once per tile per move.
- A new 2 or 4 appears after each move.
- Neither 2048 nor 4096 ends the game here: the target is an 8192 tile.
- The game ends when the board is full and nothing can merge; your score still counts towards your best.
8192 game strategy: a whole board of chain
An 8192 tile needs a chain of 4096, 2048, 1024, 512 and so on down to the tile being doubled, all on 16 cells at once. It takes at least about 3,700 moves and a score close to 100,000. Only a board that stays in strict order survives that long.
Commit to one snake shape
Build the chain along the bottom row from the corner, turn up and run it back along the second row, then the third. When 4096 is in the corner, the first two rows are effectively locked, and you are playing on eight cells above them. Every tile placed out of order in the chain has to be merged away before the cascade can finish.
Protect the corner above all
Never press the direction that pulls the corner tile out unless every other move is blocked. With a 4096 on the board, a single new 2 landing in the corner usually ends the attempt.
Undo is a safety net, not a plan
Undo goes back one move. The new tile after a move is fixed by the puzzle code, so undoing and making the same slide gives the same result. Use it to try a different direction.
Rest your eyes
Long sessions invite careless swipes. The game saves on your device, so stop when you notice yourself moving on autopilot.
Daily, stats and printables
The timer starts on your first move and pauses when you switch tabs. Stats are kept per board in your browser: played, won, win rate, best and average time, and best score, saved when a game ends in a win or a loss.
Undo takes back one move. There are no hints, since 2048 has no single right move. Each game has a puzzle code such as A7K3Q; open it with ?p= to replay the same start and the same new tiles. The end panel copies a short result to share. There is no daily 2048 and no printable version.
Plays anywhere, no app, no account
An 8192 attempt can take hours, so the game in progress is saved on your device, and it plays with swipes on a phone and the arrow keys or W, A, S, D on a keyboard. Tidy Puzzles runs entirely in your browser: there is no app to install, no account to create and no interstitial before you can play. After the first visit the game also works offline, because each puzzle is generated on your device from a seed. Every board can be played with the keyboard alone, on a phone or a desktop, and your stats and unfinished puzzles stay in this browser rather than on a server.
